POTUS in front of my lens
So today was interesting... having waited for half an hour on a coach that drove the press pack a distance of 100 metres to then standing in line outside for another 20 minutes I was finally ushered in to a room at the back of Winfield House (residence of the US Ambassador to the UK). There before me sat the President of The USA Donald Trump and the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg ready for what was billed as a “10 minute press call”. This was the longest 10 minutes of my life as it turned into 50 minutes - partly due to the fact that there were many questions put to the President and also Donald loves the sound of his own voice. I had contemplated not taking my tripod in for just “10 minutes“, but boy I’m glad I did. I don’t think my back would’ve taken it.
